2. Status Indicator RAPs 2-68 CMT 130 Book Trimmer
RAP 2.60 Book Out of Elevator Sen-
sor
Input 21
The book out of elevator retro-reflective sensor
detects books as they move from the elevator
into the trimmer. The sensor and the reflective
tape are mounted on a shelf bracket on the left
side door of the trimmer, Figure 2-90.
Possible Fault Indicators

Book jam between CMT 130 and
elevator
displays when there is no
book jam

If book jam occurs every cycle and there
is a jam where the book is pushed in
straight, go to RAP 2.39 Internal Con-
veyor Motor.

If a book jam occurs every cycle and the
book jams crooked, check machine
setup in the
Installation and Operator's
Manual.
Initial Action
Check that the reflective tape on the shelf
bracket is installed.
Check that the elevator is properly installed.
See the Installation and Operator's Manual.
Check for loose or broken wire 124 at the power
panel.
Check that the internal conveyor motors run. If
one or both never run, go to RAP 2.39 Internal
Conveyor Motor.
Procedure
1.
“

” message is always displayed. The
sensor data screen displays (

Short wire 124 to 64 at the main PWB.
Does the sensor data screen display (

Disconnect main power and replace the
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Re-
placement).
Go to GP 6.10 Retro-reflective Sensors (PL
5.15 Power Panel EE-3306-1 (1/2)).
2. Disconnect wire 124. Does the sensor data
screen display (
21-0
)?
Y N
Disconnect main power and replace the
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Replace-
ment).
3. Go to GP 6.10 Retro-reflective Sensors (PL
5.15 Power Panel EE-3306-1 (1/2)).
