RAP 2.52 Knife Up Sensor
Input 32
This sensor detects when the knife assembly
reaches its top position. It is mounted to the
barrel of the hydraulic cylinder, Figure 2-80. The
sensor cable is labelled “U”

Initial Actions
Check for loose or broken wire 45 at the power
panel.
Procedure
1. Switch on the machine and press the green
start button. Is the knife assembly up all the
way?
Y N
Perform RAP 2.17 Starter Circuit.
2. Switch off power and then back on. Enter
sensor data mode. Does the screen display
(
32-0
)?
Y N
Disconnect wire 45. Does the sensor data
screen display (
32-0
)?
Y N
Disconnect main power and replace the
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Re-
placement).
Go to GP 6.9 Proximity Sensors (PL 5.3
Main Assembly 59000 (3/12)).
3. Short wire 45 to 64. Does the sensor data
change to (
32-1
)?
Y N
Disconnect main power and replace the
main PWB (REP 4.22 Main PWB Replace-
ment).
4. Go to GP 6.9 Proximity Sensors (PL 5.3
Main Assembly 59000 (3/12)).
