CMT 130 Book Trimmer 

ADJ 4.19 Gripper Clamp Pressure 

Use the following procedure to adjust the gripper 
clamp pressure to the recommended setting of 

0.2 to 0.3 MPa.

 

Initial Actions 

Check that the air supply is switched on.  Re-
move the power panel door in order to gain ac-
cess to the pneumatic manifold (Figure 4-30). 

Procedure 

1.  Loosen the lock nut on the valve #2 pres-

sure adjustment screw. 

2.  Use a slotted screwdriver to set the gripper 

clamp pressure to 

0.2 to 0.3 MPa

.  The 

gauge location is shown in Figure 4-30.  
Turning the screw clockwise will increase 
pressure.  Turning the screw counter-clock-
wise will decrease the pressure. 

3.  Actuate the valve manually to make sure the 

gripper clamp moves up and down.  Check 
the pressure again to make sure it did not 
change. 

4.  Once the pressure is set as desired, tighten 

the adjustment screw lock nut. 

5.  Reinstall the power panel door.
