RAP 2.78 Exit Conveyor Motor
Exit Conveyor I/O PWB Output 1
The Exit Conveyor has one conveyor motor that
drives the conveyor belt (Figure 2-119).
Possible Fault Indicators

The conveyor will not switch on or is al-
ways on.
Initial Actions
Check that all cables between the trimmer and
Exit Conveyor are securely fastened and are not
damaged.
Check for a loose or damaged drive belt. See
ADJ 4.8 Timing and Conveyor Belt Check/Repl.
Check for loose or damaged wires at the termi-
nal block in the conveyor case and at the termi-
nal block above the conveyor motor (Figure
2-119).
Procedure
1. Switch the main power OFF.
2. Check fuse F1 at the backside of the Exit
Conveyor. Is the resistance less than 2
Ohms?
Y N
Replace blown fuse.
3. Switch the main power ON and press the
green start button to initialize the trimmer.
Does the trimmer’s hydraulic motor come
on?
Y N
Go to RAP 2.15 Starter Circuit
4. Inside the conveyor case, is there 120 VAC
between wire 25 at SSR1 and wire 22 at the
lower terminal block?
Y N
Check for loose or damaged cables be-
tween the trimmer and Exit Conveyor.
Check for loose or damaged wire connec-
tions at the terminal block inside the Exit
Conveyor, the terminal block above the con-
veyor motor, the fuse holder, and SSR1.
5. With the hydraulic motor is still running, go
to the Exit Conveyor diagnostic screen (GP
6.2 Input/Output Diagnostics) and enable
outputs.
Switch on output “Conveyor Mo-
tor”.
6. Is there 24 VDC between wires 51 and 73 at
SSR1?
Y N
Disconnect power and replace the Exit Con-
veyor I/O PWB (REP 4.26 Accessory PWB
Replacement).
7. Is there 120 VAC between wire 26 at SSR1
and wire 22 at the lower terminal block?
Y N
Disconnect power and replace SSR1 (PL
5.70 Exit Conv. Elec. Panel EE-3566).
8. Disconnect power and replace the faulty mo-
tor (PL 5.71 Conveyor Drive Asm. 56340-1).
