SECTION 55 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS - CHAPTER 3
55-6
When assembling the connector, always be sure the
pins, 1, are inserted into the correct holes in the con-
nector housing, 2, and both seals, 3, are installed. Be
sure the pin is seated properly and the latch is se-
cure. After all pins are installed, press the secondary
lock, 4, into the face of the housing.
When installing new pins, trim insulation back 6 mm
(1/4
″
). Crimp new pins to wire using crimp tool.
NOTE:
The use of other crimping tools may deform
the terminal.

LIGHT PLUG
The lights are connected to the tractor using a stan-
dard 7-pin connector with round terminals. Wire con-
nections can be accessed by loosening the wire
strain relief screw, 1, and removing the housing
screw, 2. Pull the housing back along the wires to ac-
cess the individual wire terminals.

The light plug to the tractor connects according to the
following table:

The lights are wired for tractors (SAE J560) with pin
4 of the vehicle connected to the brake light circuit.
Older model tractors and some competitive tractors
do not operate this way. On these tractors the brake
lights were not wired into the tractor wiring or pin 4
was used for other items, such as work lights. A
single, bullet connector is provided in the wire har-
ness tp prevent the harness brake lights from actuat-
ing with other functions.
