Acquiring a Rhythm Report
The Atria does not save rhythm report data.
1. Select the leads:
• Keys
[1]
through
[4]
select preconfigured lead groups.
• Keys
[5]
and
[6]
select user-customized lead settings. For
more information, see “Custom Lead Settings” on pg. 4-9.
2. Press
[Auto Rhythm]
to print a rhythm strip for a predefined number
of pages. See “Rhythm” on pg. 4-9.
3. Press
[Manual Rhythm]
to print a manual rhythm strip. Press
[0
] to
place a 1 mV simulated calibration pulse on the printout.
4. To stop printing:
• Press
[Stop]
to cancel printing at any time.
• Press
[ECG]
to interrupt printing and begin another report.
Acquiring an ECG Using Alternative Lead Placements
The Alternate Chest Lead ECG allows acquisition of right chest leads and
expanded left chest leads.
The standard ECG is an important part of the Alternate Chest Lead ECG.
If acquiring an Alternate Chest Lead ECG, run a standard resting ECG
before continuing (for more information, see “Acquiring a Stat ECG” on
pg. 7-1).
Configure either CUSTOM LEAD 1 or CUSTOM LEAD 2 for the desired
lead placement (see “Custom Lead Settings” on pg. 4-9).
1. Prepare the patient (See “Patient Preparation” on pg. 6-2.).
2. Attach electrodes according to the specific instructions for each lead
configuration (see “Alternative Lead Placements” on pg. 6-8).
3. Press the
[5]
or
[6]
key to select the custom lead format.
NOTE:
If alternate chest lead is selected, then
Alternate
Chest Electrodes
displays on the
Home
screen. The message
Alternate Chest Lead ECG
or
RIGHT CHEST LEAD ECG
prints in
place of the interpretation. Additionally, Atria uses the
alternate chest lead format for standard and rhythm
printouts until another custom lead format is selected.
4. Verify the patient’s heart rate displays on the
Home
screen. If the Atria
does not display the heart rate, check the problem leads listed on the
display. Replace faulty electrodes if necessary.
5. Press
[Auto Rhythm]
or
[Manual Rhythm]
.
NOTE:
To obtain an alternate chest lead ECG, press
[ECG].
The printout will be in the current configured ECG
format using the selected leads.
