Troubleshooting
This chapter lists common problems and recommended solutions. For

Basic Troubleshooting
PROBLEM PROBABLE CAUSE
The Atria will not power up. • The Atria is not connected to external
power (refer to “Back Panel” on pg. 2-2
for connection information).
• Battery is not installed or has no
charge.
• Faulty power cord.
• AC outlet not functional.
• Faulty external power supply.
The Atria beeps twice or emits abnormal
beeping sounds. • Function or key is not allowed (for
example, the end of a list or field is
reached).
The Atria has “frozen.” The Atria does not
respond to key strokes and the display
does not change.
• Press and hold the
[On/Stby]
key for
five seconds or until the Atria shuts off.
To continue with normal operation,
press
[On/Stby]
again to restart the
Atria.
The Atria display is completely blank.
• Press the
[On/Stby]
key to restart the
Atria
. If no response, verify the Atria is
plugged in and press
[On/Stby]
again.
• The Atria is in maintenance mode
(
[On/Stby]
key was pressed twice
when powering on). Press the
[On/Stby]
key once to restart the
Atria
.
• Contrast is too light or dark. Press
[Form Feed]
to verify the Atria is on,
and then press
[Shift]
+
[Previous]
to lighten the display or press
[Shift]
+
[Next]
to darken the display.
