Loading print media

Loading paper

Follow this procedure to load paper in the multi-purpose tray:

Loading envelopes

Follow this procedure to load envelopes in the multi-purpose tray:

Open the multi-purpose tray

, then the

tray extension

Place a stack of paper (print side up) in the
multi-purpose tray

and adjust the paper

guide

to the width of the stack

• Make sure the stack does not exceed the paper

limit mark

Make sure the paper thickness lever is set to
the right.

• For details, see p. 3-6.

Open the multi-purpose tray, then the tray
extension.

Prepare the envelopes for loading:
Press down firmly on the edges of the
envelopes to make the folds crisp. Also,
press firmly on the area that corresponds to
the edges of the back flap.
