You can u s e S DXC card s with thi s camcorder. When u s ing S DXC card s
with other device s , s uch a s digital recorder s , computer s and card read-
er s , make s ure that the external device i s compatible with S DXC
card s . For more information on compatibility, contact the computer,
operating s y s tem or memory card manufacturer.
In s erting and Removing a Memory Card
When you turn on the camcorder for the fir s t time, the fir s t s creen of the
ba s ic s etup will appear. To u s e a memory card for recording, turn off the
camcorder and in s ert the memory card before performing the ba s ic
s etup . After completing the ba s ic s etup (

33), be s ure to initialize
the memory card with the camcorder before u s ing it for the fir s t
time (

• A bout the S peed Cla ss : S peed Cla ss i s a s tandard that indi-
cate s the minimum guaranteed data tran s fer s peed of mem-
ory card s . When you buy a new memory card, loo k for the
S peed Cla ss logo on the pac k age.
• If you u s e an S DXC card with a computer O S that i s not
S DXC-compatible, you may be prompted to format the mem-
ory card. In s uch ca s e, cancel the operation to prevent
data lo ss .
