Documents are sent at a high resolution.
Remedy
It is recommended that you send text only documents at a low resolution. (See

The ECM setting is activated when fax documents are sent.
Remedy
Set ECM TX to ‘Off’. (See “Sending with Error Correction Mode (ECM
Transmission),” on p. 7-23.)

Cause 1
No pause is not inserted in the fax number.
Remedy
Insert a pause after the international access code or after the recipient’s fax
number, and then dial the number again. (See “Dialing an Overseas Number,”

Long Distance on the Option screen is set to ‘Domestic’ when sending a fax
overseas.
Remedy
Set Long Distance to ‘Long Distance (1)’, ‘Long Distance (2)’, or ‘Long Distance
(3)’, and then dial the number again. (See “Fax Numbers,” on p. 4-15, or
“Registering the One-Touch Buttons,” on p. 4-31.)
Receiving Problems

There is insufficient memory available.
Remedy
Delete unwanted documents and documents with errors from memory to
increase the amount of available memory. (See “Checking/Changing the Status

The network settings are not specified.
Remedy
If the network settings are not specified, documents cannot be received.
