5.2.13 Pressure Roller Unit

When installing the pressure roller unit on to the printer, place the paper for printing
so that it covers the feed roller and platen. This protects the feed roller, which adjusts
feed precision, preventing the point of the pressure roller unit from entering under the
platen. Remove the paper used to protect the platen after installation of the pressure
unit. When installing the pressure roller from the rear of the printer, handle the it
carefully because tubes in the carriage home position side may get in the way. It may
help to take the pressure roller shaft off or on when pressing down the shaft insertion
section at the point of the pressure roller. When putting down the removed pressure
roller unit, place it point up in order to protect the tip of the roller.
