5.2.9 Ink Bottle Unit
a) Taking out the ink bottle unit
Remove or install the ink bottle unit with the ink bottles in place. The ink-bottle-
locking lever can not be pressed down without the ink bottle being in position. The
ink bottle locking lever cannot be lowered if no ink bottle is installed, and in the
raised position it will interfere with printer operation.
1) Perform "ink drain". See
Part 5: 5.4 Ink drain (Page 5-34)
2) Disconnect the joints from the check valves of all colors. Close the tubes using the
tube joints and the rubber caps, listed in special tools, in order to prevent ink
leaking during servicing. See
