5. TOOL USE
5.1 Starting the tool
Before starting your task, wear adequate safety clothing (picture A) and check that all the safety devices are well assembled
and can operate properly.
WARNING!
•
Operate the tool only when it is among the branches. Any improper use damages the tool and causes excessive
battery power consumption.
•
Use the tool only for the purposes described in par. “Product description. Any other use may cause injuries.
•
All information about using and operating the tool can be found in the use and maintenance manual of the chosen
power unit.
5.2 Stopping the tool
The tool must always be switched off at the end of the work season.

5.3 Troubleshooting
WARNING!
All the following special maintenance operations shall be carried out by a service mechanic

Mechanical head overheating
•
Dirt and/or wear and tear of the
inner rotating parts

Carry out the mechanical head cleaning and
maintenance operations.
Anomalous rake (2) vibrations

Tighten the screws (6).
The tool does not work
•
Flat battery
•
Recharge the battery (read the power unit
manual).
The tool is not powerful enough

Temporary tool stopping during its use
•
Motor overheating due to thick
branches
•
Exceeded current limits
•
Get out of the tree, wait for few seconds and
then start the tool again by means of the ON-
OFF switch (read the power unit manual).
IMPORTANT: If the above-mentioned remedies do not solve the problem, contact an Authorised Service Point
5.4 Improper uses
- Never use the tool when your balance is unstable.
- Never use the tool as a lever or for lifting, moving or breaking any objects.
- Never use the tool if the atmosphere is explosive or inflammable.
5.5 Tool transport
In case of long transports keep the tool in its packaging.

Any other use can cause injuries and
damages.
6. MAINTENANCE
6.1 Routine maintenance
WARNING!
•
Before any routine maintenance operations, if the harvesting head is assembled on the tool, switch the harvester
off (read the power unit manual), disconnect the power supply cable and then remove the head from the
extension pole (11-12).
•
All maintenance operations which are not described in this manual shall be carried out only by an Authorised
Service Point.

MAINTENANCE
Routine maintenance operations can be carried out by the operators
.
6.1.1 General
Before any routine maintenance operation:
•
Select the OFF mode of the power unit switch.
•
Wear protective gloves.
•
Disconnect the harvesting head from the extension pole (11-12).
6.1.2 Replacing the teeth
The damaged teeth (1) have to be removed from their seat:
•
Disassemble the teeth holder (7) by removing the 4 screws (6).
•
Put the teeth holder (7) onto a surface and shorten the damaged teeth (1) 2 cm away from the holder.
•
By means of a rubber hammer hit the top of the tooth (1) till it gets out of its seat.
•
Put the new tooth (1) into its seat, being careful to hook the small plastic protrusion to the teeth holder (7) side.
•
Re-assemble the rake (2) onto the oscillator (8).
6.1.3 Cleaning and greasing the harvesting head
Every 200 work hours, open the mechanical head and remove any dust and dirt inside of it. Check the anti-rotation drives (10)
condition and add Campagnola LISYNT-00-EP spray grease.
WARNING!
Cleaning the harvesting head allows to limit frictions, which would jeopardize tool performance and work autonomy.
6.1.4 Storing the tool
Before storing the tool for a prolonged period, carry out the following operations:
•
Take the harvesting head to a Campagnola Authorised Service Point for being cleaned and greased.
•
Store it in its box in a dry place.
6.2 Special maintenance
WARNING!
Any special maintenance operation shall be carried out only by a Campagnola Authorised Service Point.
6.3 Periodic maintenance schedule
Maintenance

7. DISMANTLING THE MACHINE WHEN NO LONGER USED
7.1 Disposal of exhaust materials
After having been installed and during use, the machine does not cause any environmental pollution. However,
throughout its working life, some types of residual waste or exhaust materials (such as filters, oil, etc.) are being
produced in certain maintenance situations.
There are specific regulations in every Country as for the disposal of these materials and the environment protection.
The Customer is required to be knowledgeable in the Laws in force in his own Country and to operate only while
complying with these regulations, according to the indications in the product technical charts, which may be
obtained from the Manufacturer.
WARNING!
The Laws in force about the disposal of mineral oils must be followed.
