INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Summary
C.A.M.P. Gyro1 is a device designed to connect two elements between each other, which need freedom of

795:2012 and EN 354:2010. Gyro1 is also tested according to the American ANSI / ASSP Z359.12-2019 standard. By
way of non-exhaustive example, some applications are: creation of anchorages with self-orientable points, insertion
in work-at-height and rescue systems for increased freedom of movements and preventing of twisting ropes and
lanyards. This product is intended for use to protect and prevent against the risk of falling from a height in rescue
operations, in work at a height, in the practice of mountaineering, rock-climbing and other vertical sports that use
similar techniques.
Use
Gyro1 must be connected to other elements of the system through compatible connectors inserted in the
attachment holes
[3a]
(
ƬJD
). Use EN 362 class B or ANSI Z359.12 connectors for industrial use or EN 12275
for mountaineering use; in the case of permanent connections, select by preference quick links (Class Q). Avoid
transverse stresses on the connectors (
ƬJE
), preferring the use of the appropriate anti-rotation inserts
[4]
(
ƬJF
). Use only C.A.M.P. anti-rotation inserts. Alternatively, it is possible to directly connect a rope (EN 1891 or
EN 892) or webbing (EN 565) knotted inside the attachment holes
[3a]
, in this case removing the anti-rotation
insert
[4]
(
ƬJ
). The working load limit (WLL) is 300 kg (~3 kN). The breaking load (MBL) is 25 kN (
ƬJ
). Prevent
Gyro1 from hitting uneven surfaces or sharp edges that could compromise its strength. (
ƬJ
). If used in a fall
arrest system, the system must limit the peak force below 6 kN. This force is transmitted to the structure, which

(12 kN (metal anchors) or 18 kN (fabric anchors)) and of
force direction. Do not stay above the anchor point: risk of failure/injuries in case of fall. Take measures to avoid
pendulum. Gyro1 should not be used alone as a fall arrest component. Gyro1 can be used in a fall arrest system
when combined with an EN 355 energy absorber and EN 362 connectors; in this case the maximum length of the
lanyardstring-Gyro1-absorber-connector system must never exceed 2 m and must be connected to the attachment
element (A) of a EN 361 full body harness. Warning: Gyro1 is compliant with ANSI/ASSP Z359.12-2019 only when
the anti-rotation insert
[4]
is permanently installed in the central structure

at each use in case of dirt, clean with a blast of compressed air and/
or immerse in fresh water and subsequently dry in a ventilated environment. After cleaning, the mechanism can be
lubricated. Cleaning and lubrication are recommended after each use in a marine environment.
