Check the legibility of the product’s markings. In case of one of the following defects are present, the product
should be withdrawn from service or repaired by the manufacturer or an authorized service center:
• activation of the fall indicator on the swivelling connector;
• damage to the cable (bending, kinking, any broken wires, corrosion);
• damage to the connection between the cable and the swivel connector;
• malfunctioning of the retracting or locking functions;
• serious damage to the housing;
• malfunctioning or damage with the connector
• extention (even if only partial) of the textile energy absorber
Any product or component showing any defect or wear, or if in doubt, should be replaced or repaired by the
manufacturer or an authorised centre immediately. Each product in the safety system can be damaged during a
fall and must always be inspected before using it again. After a major fall, a product must be replaced or inspected
and repaired by the manufacturer or an authorised centre because damage may have occurred, even no external
signs are visible.
