Remote access
The remote access feature allows you to call your
answering machine from another phone. To access this
feature requires a PIN to be entered at the other phone.
The factory set remote access PIN is 000. For added security
you may wish to change this code.
Setting up a remote access code
A 3-digit remote access code can be used via a touch-tone
telephone to access the answering machine from a remote
location. To store the code in the handset:
Press
Menu
to enter the menu mode.
Use
Scroll
to scroll through the menu until the LCD
displays ANSWER MAC.
Press
OK
.
Use
Scroll
to scroll until the LCD displays REMOTE PIN.
Press
OK
.
The LCD displays PIN?
Use the
Numeric
keys to enter the correct remote access
code of the connected base (The default remote access
code is 000).
Press
OK
.

The LCD displays NEW PIN?
Use the
Numeric
keys to enter the new PIN code.
Press
OK
to confirm.
The LCD displays REPEAT.
Use the
Numeric
keys to re-enter the new PIN code.
Press
OK
to confirm and exit to REMOTE PIN.
SOS code
The SOS code allows the caller to break through call
screening and blocking. Refer to pages 3
3
and 3
4
for details
of the latter features.
The factory set SOS code PIN is 111. For added security you
may wish to change this code.
Setting up an SOS code
A 3-digit SOS code is used to breakthrough when the call is
screened or blocked.
Press

to enter the menu mode.
Use
Scroll
to scroll through the menu until the LCD
displays ANSWER MAC.
