Using the Phonebook

To enter a space, press the ‘1’ key once. To enter 1,
press this key twice.
You can include other non-alphanumeric
characters in names in phonebook entries by the
use of the * key. The character is displayed and
cycles through the following sequence for each
press of the
*
key.
At the required position as the name is entered,
press the
*
key the appropriate number of times to
enter the special character required. These are
shown below in parenthesis:

-
) , (
_
) , (
:
), (
/
)

. The LCD displays NUMBER?
Enter the telephone number (maximum of 18 digits).
The
W
symbol is displayed when the number has more
than 16-digits.
Press
OK
to store the name and number. The telephone
number entered must be unique. If it is not, the display
continues to display the number.

Note: If you make a mistake while entering the
name or number, press
to delete the last
character entered. Repeat for any earlier
incorrectly entered characters and then re-enter
the required characters.

Dialling a phonebook entry
You can call a number stored in your phonebook:
Press
Phonebook
during pre-dial or standby.
The LCD displays ADD ENTRY.
Use
Scroll
to scroll until the required name is displayed
Press
OK
to view the number.
Press
Talk
to dial out the selected phonebook number.

Note: If there are already 50 records in the
phonebook, when ADD ENTRY is selected the LCD
displays FULL and then returns to ADD ENTRY.

Note: To make a call using this method, there
must be at least one valid number stored in the
Phonebook.
