Using the Answering Machine

If the answering machine is in ANS ONLY mode, OGM2 is
played and the screen displays PLAY OGM 2.
Press
Volume up/down
to adjust the speaker volume.
Press
Stop
(key 5) to halt the playback. The answering
machine stops automatically at the end of the OGM. The
screen displays STOP. A two-beep tone is emitted when the
playback stops automatically.
To delete a customised OGM
This procedure assumes that OGMs have been customised
for each answer mode.
Press
AM
to enter into answering machine mode.
If the answering machine is on, the screen displays ANS
RECORD or ANS ONLY.
If the answer machine is Off the screen displays AM OFF.
Press
OGM Play
(key 5).
If the answering machine is in ANS RECORD mode, OGM1
is played and the screen displays PLAY OGM1.
If the answering machine is in ANS ONLY mode, OGM2 is
played and the screen displays PLAY OGM 2.
During the playback of a customised OGM, press
Delete
.
The screen displays DELETED.

The OGM playback ceases and a confirmation tone is
heard. The customised OGM is deleted and the default
OGM is restored.
Setting the ring delay
The number of rings to be played before the answering
machine answers the incoming call can be specified. There
are seven choices: ECONOMY, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 rings.
When ECONOMY is selected, the answerphone answers
after 2 rings if there are new messages or new memo, and
after 4 rings if there are no new messages or new memo.
This means that you can hang-up after 2 rings knowing you
have no new messages, thereby saving the cost of the call.
When the number specified is between two and seven, the
answering machine answers the call after the selected
number of rings.
To set the ring delay
Press
Menu
to enter the menu mode.
Use
Scroll
to scroll through the menu until the LCD
displays ANSWER MAC. Press OK.

Note: Default OGMs cannot be deleted.
