Registering a new handset 

This function allows you to register a handset with a base
station. Up to five handsets can be registered to a base
station and each handset can be registered to up to 4 base
units.

Each handset that registers can select the base number for
the  base  it  is  about  to  register  with  so  that  it  can  be
identified at the Base Selection setting.

Note: Initially this procedure is not required
since the handset supplied in this system is
already registered to the base supplied.
However, this procedure is required if you add a
further handset to the system. It would be
required for the existing handset if you
inadvertently de-register it.

ensure the new handset is fully charged, and
position the base unit and new handset in front
of you.

The LCD displays BS 1 2 3 4. (Base unit 1 to Base unit 4)

Use the 

Numeric

 keys to enter the number of the base 

unit you wish to register using the numeric keypad on the 
handset.

The handset displays PIN?

Use the 

Numeric

 keys to enter the PIN number of the base 

unit (default is 0000). 

Press and hold the

 button on the base unit 

until you hear two beeps.

The handset displays SEARCH BS X while it searches for the 
base unit (where X is the number of the base you are 
registering to). 

Once a connection has been made, the handset name and
number appears on the Display. The handset number is the
next available number if the number of handsets already
registered with the base is less than 5. 

The name is the name you provide, see Naming the Handset
on page 5
