Setting up
The end of the front roll into which the cog
must be inserted has a single groove cut into it.
This ensures that the cog is positioned
correctly and prevents it from slipping once
inside the roll. Insert the cog right up to the
shoulder, making sure the key fits into the
groove.
The end of the front roll into which the spigot
must be inserted has two grooves cut into it.
Insert the spigot right up to the shoulder,
making sure the keys fit into the grooves.

Open the document scanner unit by pulling
it forward as shown below.

Remove the print ribbon from it’s packaging
and insert the cog and the spigot (supplied)
into the front roll as shown below.
