To delay a fax
This allows you to transmit a fax automatically
at a pre-set time. This can be useful if you want
to send a fax abroad or at a time when call
charges are lower.
•
Insert the document to be faxed in the
Automatic Document Feeder.
•
If necessary, adjust contrast and resolution
(see Additional features, page
29
)
•
Press the
SET UP
button.
•
Press the
§
or
©
buttons until the display
shows
SET DELAYED TX
.
•
Press the
button; display shows
OFF
.
•
Press the
§
or
©
buttons to change to
ON
.
•
Press the
button; display shows
TX. TIME=XX:XX
(the currently set time).
•
Set the time you want the document to be
sent, using the keypad.
•
When you have entered the time, press the
button; display shows
ENTER FAX NO
.
•
Enter the fax number to which the delayed
fax is to be sent.
•
Press the
button to confirm the setting;
display shows
SET DELAYED TX
and the
transmission time you have set.
To cancel delayed fax setting
•
Press the
STOP
button; display shows
CANCEL DEL TX?
.
•
Press the
button.
•
The document is ejected and delayed TX is
cancelled.
If no document has been inserted into the
Automatic Document Feeder, or it is removed
before sending, the display shows
INSERT
DOCUMENT
. Make sure the document to be sent
has been correctly inserted.
If you make a mistake, use the
§
and
©
buttons
to move backwards and forwards through
the setting.
