To change the resolution for copying
The pre-set default resolution for copying is
FINE
. This can be changed manually when
making individual copies. The resolution will
revert to
FINE
once the document has been
copied.

Insert the document to be copied. The
display shows
COPY= 1 <FINE>
.
•
Press the
SET UP
button to change the
resolution setting.
•
When the required resolution is displayed
press the
START
button to begin copying.
Contrast
You can choose different resolution settings to
ensure improved quality when sending or
copying a document.
The available contrast settings are:
NORMAL
DARK ORIGINAL
LIGHT ORIGINAL
The pre-set default contrast setting for both
sending and copying a document is
NORMAL
.
The contrast can be changed manually for each
document. Contrast reverts to the default
setting once sending or copying is complete.
The default setting also can be changed from
NORMAL
to
DARK ORIGINAL
or
LIGHT
ORIGINAL
.
Use the
NORMAL
setting for documents which
contain clearly printed information. For
documents with a dark background, select the
DARK
setting. For light documents in pencil or
thin print quality select the
LIGHT
setting.
To change the contrast for individual faxes
and copies

Insert the document to be sent.
