When the ribbon comes to its end, the error message appears on the display. The
keyboard locks up until you install a new ribbon cassette.

To install a ribbon cassette follow these steps:

[1]

Open the top cover.

[2]

Remove the ribbon cassette if installed.

Skip this step when you first install the ribbon cassette.

[3]

Install a new ribbon cassette onto the carrier.

Insert the right and left tabs o f the cassette into the holes o f the carrier.

Snap down the cassette until it clicks making sure that the ribbon passes

between the ribbon guides.

[4]

Wind the ribbon in the direction shown on the cassette to take up the
slack.

[5]

Close the top cover.
