Corrector Mode
When the typewriter finds a suspected word either in the interactive spell, find
and correct, or scan check function, the typewriter enters the Corrector Mode.
The Corrector Mode screen looks like this:
SUSPECT WORD : attension
■I
g n o r e
s u g g e s t io n
RETYPE
ADD
IG N O RE:
Ignores the suspected word and returns to the last
working status.
SUGGESTION : Suggests the alternate words to the suspected one.
R E TY PE :
Allows you to retype the correct word in the entry
area for replacement.
ADD:
Adds the suspected word into the supplemental
dictionary.
Select any of these four jobs with the CURSOR keys and press the
(R eturn)
key. The typewriter executes the corresponding function. Refer to the
subsections "Ignore," "Suggestion," Retype," and "Add."
If you press the ESC key in the interactive spell and scan check functions, you
can cancel the Corrector Mode and returns to the last working status in these
modes. If you press it in the find and correct function, you can cancel both the
Corrector Mode and the find and correct function.
Ignore
If the suspected word is proper one, you do not need to correct it. Because the
main dictionary does not contain that word, the typewriter could not find it.
Ignore the suspected word if you do not need to add it into the supplemental
dictionary.
Follow these steps:
[1]
Select IGNORE with the CURSOR keys.
[2]
Press the
(R eturn) key.
The typewriter ignores the suspected word and returns to the last
working status.
[3]
Go back to each section that describes the interactive spell, find and
correct, or scan check function. And continue steps.
