ject. Use a voltmeter or hydrometer.
If the battery is frozen, it can explode. Heat
the battery to 16°c (60°f) before charging it.
The battery cannot be charged when the en

gine speed is below 1,000 rpm. (It can be
charged with the engine running at 1,500
rpm or higher speed.)

8.2.19 CheCkInG radIator and Intake hoSeS
Check the condition of the air intake hose (1) and
radiator hose (2) every six months or 200 hours
of use whichever comes first.
Check the hose and tighten the clamp (3).
A leaking or damaged hose can be a major
cause of dust in the engine.
If the hose is worn or damaged, replace it with a
new one.
It is recommended to replace the radiator hose
every two years.
