The rotating power transferred through the main shift driven shaft (1) is delivered to the range shift drive shaft
(2) by the range shift drive shaft's 52T gear which is engaged and rotated with the 18T gear of the main shift
driven shaft. As the 18T gear of the range shift drive shaft is engaged with the 52T gear (4) of the bevel pinion
counter shaft (3), the 52T gear is turned constantly.
Also, the connection of the main shift driven shaft and counter shaft does not transfer power due to the
internal needle bearing, but idles only.
To select the range shift 1st gear (low speed), the 2nd gear (5) of the range shift driven gear is pushed to the
right to be engaged with the 52T gear (4). Then, the rotating force reduced at the reduction ratio by the 18T
gear and 52T gear of the range shift drive shaft passes through the range shift driven gear's 2nd gear to be
delivered to the countershaft.
To select the range shift 2nd gear (mid speed), the 2nd gear of the range shift driven gear is engaged with the
34T gear of the range shift drive shaft. Then, the rotating force of the range shift drive shaft is delivered to the
countershaft after it is reduced at the reduction ratio by the 34T and 36T gears.
Also, to select the range shift 3rd gear (high speed), the 2nd gear of the range shift driven gear is pushed
to the left to be engaged with the splines at the end of the main shift driven shaft. Then, the rotating power
delivered to the main shift driven shaft is supplied to the countershaft without any reduction.
