8.2.3 CheCkInG Coolant amoUnt
CaUtIon
Hot coolant or steam from the pressurized
cooling system can be surged leading to a
serious scald. make sure to stop the engine
before checking the coolant level. remove
the filler cap only when it is cooled down
enough to touch by a hand. at this moment,
release residual pressure in the system and
then unscrew the cap slowly to remove it.
8.2.2 CheCkInG enGIne oIl
Make sure that the machine is parked on level
ground.
Remove any dust around the dipstick inlet.
Pull out the dipstick (1), wipe its mark, insert it
and pull it out again to check the oil level and oil
condition.
The oil level should be between the min. and
max. lines and the oil color should not be too
dark or too light.
If not normal, add engine oil up to the max. line
on the dipstick. (Refer to 8.2.8 Changing engine
oil in this chapter.)

Check the coolant level in the reservoir (1).
The coolant level should be between the lower
and upper limits while the engine is running.
If the coolant level is below the min. level, add
coolant up to the max. limit into the reservoir.
