SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The vacuum pump should be considered an
accessory which is used to drive inertia instru-
ments installed in the aircraft.
There is the option of installing a vacuum pump.
To do this, the drive for the vacuum pump should
be retrofitted in the propeller gearbox and crank-
case.
NOTE:
Simultaneous use of the vacuum
pump and governor is not possible.
Gear ratio
The vacuum pump and the governor have the
same drive and therefore an equal gear ratio.

REMOVAL
VACUUM PUMP - REMOVAL
Preparation

General visual inspection. See relevant Main-
tenance Manual Line for the 912 i Series
engine type.

Carry out a functional test run to identify any
damage. See "Documentation of aircraft
manufacturer"

The propeller gearbox must be removed so
that the governor drive can be removed. See
section 72-10-00.

Loosen the 4 M6 hex. nuts with lock was-
hers.

structions for maintenance, inspection and re-
pair.
