9. Using a rubber mallet, tap the Upper Bearing Pulley up and out of
the channel.
10. Reduce the tension on the elastic cord by grasping two parts of it
together and pulling it upward. With the tension reduced, remove the
Plain Bearing Pulley and place a retainer (such as the handle of the
screwdriver) to keep the elastic cord from pulling down through the
Pulley Retainer.
11. Remove the Pulley Shaft from the old Pulley and insert into the
new Plain Bearing Pulley. Route the elastic cord over the new Plain
Bearing Pulley, remove the retainer, and insert the Pulley into the
channel.
Note:
Be sure the Plain Bearing Pulley is properly installed and
centered in the channel. Carefully tap it back into place with the
rubber mallet, if required. Procedure is the same for each of the Plain
Bearing Pulleys.
