Electrical System
Batteries
Your boat has an electrical system powered by two
lead-acid batteries. The batteries are charged by the
engine when the engine is running. Either, or both,
batteries can be selected by the battery switch to
power the following systems:
• Engine ignition
• Engine tilt trim system
• Helm switch panel & helm instrument panel
• Lighting/Navigation system
• Livewell system
• Add-on accessories and electronics
!
DANGER
Batteries contain sulfuric acid which is
dangerous and can cause serious injury.
AVOID contact with skin, eyes and clothing. If
contact occurs, immediately flush the affected
area with large quantities of water and call for
medical assistance
• Never use an open flame in the battery
storage area.
• Avoid striking sparks near the battery.
• A battery will explode if a flame or spark
ignites the free hydrogen given off during
charging.
• The battery should always be disconnected
before doing any work or maintenance on
the electrical system.
• Never reset a breaker without first
determining and correcting the cause of the
trip. Should a circuit repeatedly trip, have
a qualified electrician determine and correct
the cause.
• If equipped with a battery switch, you will
need to stop the engine before moving the
switch to the “OFF” position.
