Prepare address setting via PROFIBUS or web interface

If a value between “7Eh” and “FEh” is set on the rotary switches, the device
receives the address “7Eh” (126). You can change this address during operation
via PROFIBUS or the web interface. The new address is saved as volatile. If “FFh”
is set on the rotary switches, the address 126 is set in the factory. You can change
the address during operation via PROFIBUS or the web interface. The new address
is saved as non-volatile, i.e. the device starts with the changed address after being
switched off and on again.

Set “7Eh”…”FEh” or “FFh” on the rotary switches.

For the device address to be adopted by PROFIBUS, switch the device off and on
again.

Set the device address via PROFIBUS

The device supports the PROFIBUS service “Set_Slave_Add” via the Service Access
Point SAP55 of a DP slave. A DPM2 master with suitable planning tool is required for
this, which is provided by the control system.

Set the device address via the web interface, see section 8.2.3 “Mobile data
carriers MDT” .
