to third parties.
2.2
Intended use
The servo-hydraulic actuator is a drive unit consisting of a self-contained servo-
hydraulic drive, a drive controller and accessories. For the exact scope of
delivery, please refer to your order confirmation.
The hydraulic power unit is a hydraulic system component. According to Direc-
tive 2006/42/EC of the EU and EN 982 the actuator is a component that is not
ready for use. You may use the actuator exclusively for installation in a system.
According to Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC (Article 1 (3.10)) the
actuator has not to be classified as pressure equipment, but as hydraulic
actuating device, since it is not pressure that is the essential design factor, but
strength, rigidity and stability against static and dynamic operational loads.
The servo-hydraulic actuator is intended for use in production machines.
The product is intended exclusively for professional use and not for private
usage.
Intended use includes having read and understood this documentation com-
pletely, and this chapter in particular.
for the safety functions described in
Chapter 5.1.8 “Functional safety”
on page 27, the servo-hydraulic actuator may only be used in the version
“safety-capable axis”.
The servo-hydraulic actuator may only be started up when the complete
machine or installation fully meets all stipulated safety requirements.
Its operation is permitted only when it is in the original condition, not damaged
and completely installed.
The servo-hydraulic actuator may only be operated within its specified perform-
ance/limit data. Overloading will result in a failure to function properly.
Observe the power/limiting data in the respective technical data sheet of the
servo-hydraulic actuator.
The installation in and removal from the complete machine as well as the
replacement of components within the scope determined in the present oper-
ating instructions may be carried out exclusively by trained specialists of a spe-
cialized company that was authorized by Bosch Rexroth (see
“Qualification of personnel” on page 12). Further repairs may be carried out
exclusively by the manufacturer.
2.3
Improper use
Any use deviating from the intended use is improper and thus not admissible.
Bosch Rexroth AG does not assume any liability for damage caused by improper
use. The user assumes all risks involved with improper use.
