Servo-hydraulic actuator

Position measuring system
In the basic version, the position of the cylinder piston is sensed with the help
of an integrated, absolute position measuring system. In the variant “safety-
capable axis”, the customer has to fit an external position measuring system
suitable for safety engineering to the linear axis.
Hydro-pneumatic accumulator
In the case of a single-rod cylinder, the accumulator absorbs the differential
volume caused by temperature fluctuations and compression.
Drive controller
The drive controller with the PFC technology function is the central control unit
for the servo-hydraulic actuator. It controls and monitors operation of the
servo-hydraulic actuator. When erroneous states are detected, the servo-
hydraulic actuator is shut down with best possible deceleration and a diag-
nostic message is shown on the operating panel of the drive controller.
With the help of the PC-based engineering tool IndraWorks Ds (IW Ds) the
parameters of the axis system can be accessed. Depending on the master com-
munication used, IndraWorks is connected either via the service interface of
the control and instrumentation technology level or directly to the drive con-
troller.

Operating panel of the drive controller
The drive controller is fitted with a control panel. The display shows operating
states, diagnostic command and error messages, as well as any present warn-
ings. With the help of the keys, settings can be made, information can be
viewed and some commands can be triggered.
