6 Transport and storage
6.1 Transport
WARNING
Heavy weight and sharp edges of the servo-hydraulic
actuator! The components are heavy (>100 kg). In case
of improper handling, they may fall down and cause
serious injuries and/or crush injuries as the components
may e.g. be sharp-edged, heavy, oily, loose or bulky.

Transport the components to their intended locations
using suitable lifting gear.
−
Ensure a stable position during transport to the place
of installation.
−
Wear personal protective equipment for transporting
the components.
−
Observe national laws and regulations for accident
prevention and safety and health at work during
transport.
−
Do not stand under suspended loads.
CAUTION
No stability! Risk of injuries and crushing by a servo-
hydraulic actuator toppling over.

Transport and store the components only in appro-
priate packaging.
−
Only lift the components at the attachment/lifting
points provided for that purpose.
−
Always use several lifting points for handling the
servo-hydraulic actuator.
Please observe the following points for transporting:
●
Properties of the load (e.g. weight, center of gravity, mounting and attach-
ment points).
●
Way of attaching or picking up the load.
The product may only be transported if the requirements listed in this chapter
are observed. Only the load attachment points shown in the installation
drawing may be used.
For transporting in a proper and safe manner, use lifting accessories which are
appropriate for the weight.
Lifting accessories are not included in the scope of delivery.
6.2 Storage
NOTICE
Risk of damage of some components due to long-term
storage!
Some components contain electrolytic capacitors which
may deteriorate during storage.
When storing the following components for a longer
period of time, run them once a year for at least
one hour:

Converters and supply units: Operation with mains
voltage
−
Inverters and DC bus capacitor units: Operation with
DC bus voltage
The assemblies should preferably be stored in the unopened original pack-
aging.
