Battery Charger AL 2450 DV (see figure A)
Plug the power plug
22
of the battery charger
21
into your
electrical power supply outlet and insert the battery
11
cor-
rectly into the charging compartment of the battery charger.
Do not exert any force when inserting/removing the
battery.
Batteries with APT contact (
A
kku
P
ack
T
op) are
designed in such a manner that they can only be inserted
into the power tool or the charger in the correct position.
The green LED indicator
23
starts to flash. This indicates the
flow of the charging current. The charging process automati-
cally stops when the battery is fully charged.
The charging procedure is over when the green LED indicator
no longer flashes and lights up uniformly.
An audible signal sounds for approx. 2 seconds and signals
that the battery is fully charged.
Continuous lighting of the red LED indicator
24
signals a
charging procedure with reduced charging current.
When the red LED indicator flashes, charging is not possible.
Errors – Causes andCorrective Measures
Constant Voltage regulator (see figure B)
Note:
Alternatively to battery operation, industrial cordless
angle wrenches can also be operated with a constant voltage
regulator.
The power plug shown can vary from the one on your power
tool.
Please take care, that the constant voltage regulator is
suitable for your country specific electricity network.
Apart from the 4EXACT constant voltage regulator and the
matching power cable, a voltage adapter with the same rated
voltage as your cordless screwdriver is required.
The voltage on the constant voltage regulator (LED in-
dicator) must be the same as the voltage of the driver.
The constant voltage regulator is suitable exclusively for
Bosch industrial battery-operated drivers of the EXACT se-
ries, the ANGLE EXACT series, and the BT-EXACT series
with a voltage of between 9.6 V and 14.4 V. Otherwise,
there exists the risk of fire and explosion.
These industrial cordless screwdrivers cannot be operated
with constant voltage regulator.
Connection to the Power Supply
Note:
Please note that upon delivery neither a battery pack
nor a voltage adapter is inserted in the power tool.
Never store rechargeable batteries in a battery pow-
ered tool.
Rechargeable batteries last longer and are easi-
er to recharge when they are stored separately. Remember
to fully recharge batteries that have been stored for a long-
er time before use.
Battery Charging
Charge the battery with a suitable charging unit before insert-
ing it into the power tool. The exact description of the charg-
ing procedure can be found in the operating instructions of
the charging unit and the hints in this manual (see “Charging
Procedure”, page 22).
The battery is equipped with an NTC temperature sensor that
allows charging only in the temperature range between 0 °C
(+32 °F) and 45 °C (+113 °F). A long service life of the bat-
tery is achieved in this manner. With correct usage, the bat-
tery can be recharged up to 3000 times.
A battery that is new or has not been used for a longer period
does not develop its full capacity until after approx. 5 charg-
ing/discharging cycles.
Batteries should only be recharged when the LED indicator
“battery condition” of the power tool shows red.
Battery Insertion/Removal
Move the rotational direction switch
14
to the center posi-
tion. This action locks the on/off trigger switch
13
in the “off”
position, which prevents the tool from running.
Insert a fully charged battery
11
into the handle of the power
tools.
Insure that the battery is in the correct position and that the
locking buttons
12
engage securely into the handle of the
power tool.
Do not exert any force when inserting/removing the
battery.
Batteries with APT contact (
A
kku
P
ack
T
op) are
designed in such a manner that they can only be inserted
into the power tool or the charger in the correct position.
To remove the battery
11
, squeeze the locking buttons
12
on
both sides and pull the battery downward out of the handle.
