4.4. USING THE FAN (optional).
There is a box in the fan kit: this is the speed controller which starts, stops, and sets the speed of
the fan (see illustration below) as needed.
Reminder: Always turn on the fan if one has been installed. In the event of a
temporary power failure, decrease the burn rate of the fi re to avoid overheating
the fi replace.
4.5. SETTING AND USING THE BAFFLES
Set the baffl es according to your chimney’s natural draught. The factory setting will have to be
adjusted if it does not allow for the right draught and a good yield. The fi replace has three adjustable
baffl es (C1, C2 and C3 below) and a removable defl ector (D). On delivery, the baffl es assembly will
be in closed position with the defl ector installed.
