KNG Radios are come in three different configurations.
Tier I - No Keypad or Display
Tier II - Display and Limited Keypad
Tier III - Full Keypad and Display
By selecting the proper Tier, under the Options Tab, programmable
functions that do not apply to the selected tier will be ‘grayed out’ or
blocked from selection.
2.2.3.2 readinG and writinG radio information
Radio information is broken into two categories; Zone data and Global settings.
Zone data includes individual channel information and Zone setting
data that applies to all channels in the selected zone.
Global settings apply to all channels and zones. These settings
include information such as switch and button assignments, radio
ID’s, encryption keys, etc., that define basic radio functionality
regardless of which zone a radio is operating in.
reading radio information
When using the Radio editor for the first time, or if ‘Factory Default’ is set as the data default (See Default
Data Load), it is recommended to read information from a programmed radio before editing the displayed
information. Writing Factory default Global data will limit the the programmed radio’s operation.
read all radio data
To read all data from a radio click the ‘Read All’ icon in the tool bar or select ‘Read ALL Data from Radio’
under the ‘Read’ tab at the top of the screen.
This selection reads both Zone and Global information from the radio.
