Changing over from left-hand to right-hand drills
This section explains how to change over the machine from left-hand to right-hand drills.
Only perform work with machine at
standstill
Changing over point splitting device
Changing over for special drills
Changing over machine
Only perform work with machine at
standstill

Fully screw down stop screw for primary cutting
angle and secondary clearance angle

Slacken clamping lever for point angle
-
Perform the following movements simultaneously:

Move swivel arm up and to the left

Move swivel arm to the right
-
Adjust required angle using stop screws and
clamping lever

Move swivel arm to centre position (next to
sapphire lens)

Remove flexible shaft
-
Remove stop screw
-
Turn point splitting device through 180°
-
Insert and tighten stop screw
-
Insert flexible shaft with no load
-
Re-align grinding wheel protection

For right-hand drills
Screw on flexible shaft from front
The point splitting grinding wheel points towards
machine rear
