Multiviewer Cabling
Introduction
This chapter shows how to interconnect the multiviewer with its associated equipment.

Typical cabling diagram for a Kaleido - IP X320 with two optional Media Ports ( LAN5 & LAN6 ). The Kaleido - IP X120 rear
panel is identical, except for LAN5 and LAN6 , which are not available for this model.
For a Kaleido - IP X320, the location of the optional Media Ports ( LAN5 & LAN6 ) depends on
the network interface option card that has been ordered / installed. See Network Interface
Card Installation Location in the Server , on page 79.
Kaleido - IP Multiviewer Ethernet Port Usage
On the Kaleido - IP multiviewer’s rear panel are Ethernet connections that are to be used as
follows:
• The management port
LAN1
is used for multiviewer management: that is, any PC that
uses XEdit or XAdmin to configure this multiviewer and any Kaleido - RCP2 / RCP - 200
