Closing the front door
To close the door of a Densité 3 or Densité 3+ FR1 frame
• Slide it into position against the front of the frame, and then turn the captive
thumbscrews clockwise until the door is securely fastened into place.
To close the door of a Densité 3+ FR4 frame
• Slide the door down onto the hinge pins on the right-hand side, push it into the closed
position, and then turn the thumbscrew on the left-hand side clockwise to latch the
door in the closed position.
Replacing Cards
All cards and rear panels can be installed with the frame power on. Each card has a
connector which plugs into the frame’s backplane for distribution of power and connection
to the controller card, and one or two connectors (depending on the card type) that plug
into the associated rear panel for inputs and outputs.
Replacing rear connector panels
To replace a rear connector panel in a Densité 3 or Densité 3+ FR4 frame
1 If a card is already installed in a slot covered by the rear panel you wish to change,
remove it (see
2 Remove the existing panel (either blank or belonging to an existing card) by releasing
the captive screws at the bottom.
There may be several captive screws, depending on the card type.
IMPORTANT
The rear panel must be installed before the card is inserted into the frame.
