Installation
Input Cards
Within a Kaleido-Modular-X system, input
cards are designated as
Input A,
Input B,
Input C,
and
Input D,
where Input A is the
card closest to the output stage
.
Every KMX-
3901-IN card is complemented by a rear
panel that holds all input and output
connectors associated with the card.
An input card is connected to the other
cards in the Kaleido-Modular-X system to
which it belongs through the housing
frame’s internal midplane (for cards housed
in the same frame), and through FlexBridge
connections.
Rear panel with IP input connectors
The KMX-3901-IN-IP rear panels include two (1+1 redundant) 10 GigE ports, 1 ABT/MADI
audio input, 1 LTC input, 1 reference input, 2 FlexBridge inputs, 2 FlexBridge outputs, and 2
SDI input connectors for the SDI mosaic outputs from head 1 and head 2 of the KMX-3901-
OUT-D output card.
KMX-3901-IN-IP-D-3+TRP rear panel
• Input cards with a double rear connector panel (KMX-3901-IN-8-D-3+DRP,
KMX-3901-IN-16-D-3+DRP, KMX-3901-IN-16-Q-3+DRP, KMX-3901-IN-M3-
D-3+DRP, KMX-3901-IN-M3-Q-3+DRP) are compatible with Densité 3+
FR1, and Densité 3+ FR4 only.

are compatible with Densité 3+ FR4
only.
