Figure 2.9.2 – Engine control system panel
The button switch of testing activation 1 (figure 2.9.2) is intended to call up active errors
form the memory of the engine electronic control unit by means of light codes, displayed
by fault testing annunciator 2. This way of testing is alternative in comparison with infor-
mation display 21 (figure 2.1.1). Regarding reading and decoding light codes errors and
the recommended actions on fault elimination, it is necessary to refer to the engine opera-
tion manual, attached to your tractor. The detected errors shall be eliminated. To eliminate
the detected faults, please, contact your dealer.
Five heater activation relays are located under cover 4 on the left side, as it is shown in
figure 2.9.2.
After turning the key of the starter and instrument switch from the position “Off” into the
position “Instruments are on”, the system is powered. After powering the system, it carries
out a self-check. If there are no errors in the system operation, fault testing annunciator 2
on the panel of engine control system shall turn on and go out, which shows the workabil-
ity of annunciator 2 lamp and its correct connection to the tractor on-board system.
Special testing jack 3 is intended to connect system testing devices KTS of “BOSCH”
company to carry out an extended service diagnostics of the engine in operation. The
specified system testing devices are recommended for dealer centers.
2.10 Steering
2.10.1 General information
“BELARUS-1523.5” tractors are equipped with hydrostatic steering control (HSC). When
the engine is stopped, the HSC feed pump, driven by the engine crankshaft, does not feed
the hydraulic system of the HSC and it is automatically shifted to a manual mode, which
requires greater effort on the steering wheel to turn the tractor.
