11.
To test that each supply line
is correctly setup, perform a
high-pressure leak test as
follows:
a.
With the valve open, note
where the pressure gauge
needle is pointing.
b.
Close the cylinder valve and
observe the gauge for 30
seconds.
c.
If the needle remains constant,
the line is correctly set up;
press the check mark.
d.
If the needle shows a drop in
pressure, a leak exists; press
the X.
12.
If leak detected:
If the line
has failed the high pressure
test, then investigate the
connections for any leaks:
a.
With pressure in the lines, use
liquid leak detector around the
regulator seal and hose
connections and look for
bubbling in the fluid.
b.
Purge the hose line pressure
before removing and
reattaching the regulator to the
cylinder.
The pressure gauge
should always read 0 bar
before disconnecting the
regulator from the cylinder
.
c.
Rule out leak in the
external regulator and supply
line: Ensure the regulator
supply line connector is
correctly locked to the
regulator outlet, and the
collar of the connector on
the free-end of the line is
pulled back (sealed).
(see step 7). Open the
cylinder to pressurize
only the regulator and
the supply line (free end not
attached to monitor). Close
cylinder valve and observe
needle for 30 seconds.
d.
Purge the hose line pressure;
connect the free end of the
hose back onto the inlet port
on the monitor.
