Operation

4.8  Ending a Combustion Test

WARNING!

Burn Hazard. Do not touch the probe after

removing it from the stack. Allow the probe to cool before

handling (about 5 minutes).

1.  Remove probe from stack.

2.  Allow the pump to run untl all combuston gases have been flushed

from the analyzer as ndcated by the O

2

 readng returnng to 20.9%.

4.9  Emptying the Water Trap

The Water Trap / Flter Assembly removes

stack-gas condensate, and also prevents soot

from contamnatng the nternal components

of the analyzer.

IMPORTANT:

 Use the Water Trap /

Filter Assembly in a vertical position

with the gas-flow arrow pointing up as

shown in the illustration to the right.

Empty the water trap chamber after each

combuston test, or stop the test and empty

the chamber f the lqud condensate level ap-

proaches the tp of the rser tube.

To empty the trap, frst pull apart the two

halves of the Water Trap usng a slght twst-

ng moton; empty the water trap chamber;

and then reassemble the trap.

After each combuston test, also check the

Water Trap’s flter element. If t looks drty,

replace the flter per Secton 6.2.
