Locking the telephone
You can protect your telephone against unauthorized use by locking it with a PIN
(Personal Identification Number). You can enter this PIN yourself and also change it
at any time. The following functions are still available in the locked state:

Answering calls
•
Dialing internal numbers
•
Dialing
specified emergency numbers (

Activating and deactivating call diversion
Changing the PIN (Personal Identification Number)
Press the M

key.
Scroll to the
Lock
menu item.
Confirm selection.
Scroll to the
Change PIN
menu item.
Confirm selection.

Enter the current PIN (default setting: "0000"; see also below)
Scroll to the
New PIN
menu item.
...
Enter the new PIN.
Scroll to the
Reenter PIN
menu item.
...
Enter the new PIN again to verify.
Press the "Save" softkey.

If central locking is enabled in your communication server, the default setting
may also be "00000" (if five-digit) or "000000" (if six-digit). If you have any
questions please contact your system administrator.
•
The lock PIN is identical to the PIN for logging on the IP telephone.
