Heating Elements Wiring, CONTINUED
Heating Element Wiring Outcomes
§
The thermocouple connection allows the temperature controller to sense the
Heating Element temperature.
§
The temperature controller connection adjusts the voltage to the Heating
Element until the Heating Element is at the desired temperature.
§
The heat transfer to the dispensing needle heats the needle.
§
The increased temperature decreases the “stringing” of epoxies and adhesives
during dispensing processes.
This increases the accuracy of the dispensing.
Heating Element Wiring
§
The Heating Element attaches to the needle or to the valve tip, depending on
the type of heating element used.
§
A thermocouple cable connects the Heating Element to the Temperature
Controller.
§
The heat is transferred to the dispensing needle.
§
Heated fluid flows inside the needle.
