Dispenser I/O, CONTINUED
The TS-03 Test Box Assembly
•
Can be used to test the dispenser I/O signals from the 201D dispenser
controller.
•
The corresponding red LED light on the TS-03 test box will turn on, if an
output on using the buttons in the I/O test on the screen is turned on.
•
The corresponding input on the computer screen will turn on, if one of the
buttons on the TS-03 test box is held on.
•
The other banks of I/O can be tested using the I/O test in the FMW Tools
software application.
•
The TS-03 cable end labeled “bank B” tests the second bank of I/O.
•
The cable end labeled “bank C” is used to test the third bank of I/O.

EXERCISE 2-1
Dispenser I/O Testing Mechanics
1.
Move the dispensing head left and right, backwards and forward.
2.
Check for slipping, stuttering, and vibrating.
3.
Check that the dispensing head does not encounter any obstacles such as parts or other
components, or is restricted by air hoses or cables as it moves around the dispensing area.
4.
Press FIND HOME and the “fast” button on the Dispenser Control Panel simultaneously.
5.
Press PAUSE on the Dispenser Control Panel.
6.
Press RESET on the Dispenser Control Panel.
7.
Perform a purge procedure.
8.
Turn the Air switch on the Auxiliary Control Panel ON (I) and OFF (O), making sure that it
toggles the air supplied to the tooling, valve and fluid pressure gauges and regulators.
9.
Close the dispensing area front doors.
10.
Turn the Interlock Switch ON (I).
11.
Turn the Alarm on the Auxiliary Control Panel ON (I).
12.
Move the dispensing head while simultaneously opening the front doors.
13.
Close the dispensing system front doors.
14.
Perform a Flow Rate Measurement to make sure that the scale is communicating with the
system computer.
15.
Click on TOOLS in the FMW Main Window.
16.
Click on I/O TEST in the Tools Window.
17.
Click on DISPENSER.
18.
Locate the bit labeled VACUUM.
19.
Toggle it to ON.
20.
Feel for suction over the Purge Station to check that the vacuum is functioning.
