Remove the swash plate along with the bearings
and inspect them for any damage or scratching
that could affect operation. (fig. 13-46, 13-47)

Remove the snap ring holding the shaft, seal and
bearing into the casing, then remove the seal.

Note:
If you are repairing the existing pump, you will
need to replace the outer seal as it will be destroyed
upon removal.
7.
Using a rubber mallot, gently tap the shaft and
bearing out of the case for inspection or replace-
ment. (fig. 13-49)
