Loosen and remove the retaining bolt and nut
along with the internal components of the throttle
assembly. (fig. 7-2)
Note:
Note the order of the components during disas-
sembly to aid during reassembly.

Loosen the pinch bolt securing the lever to the
pivot. (fig. 7-3)
5.
Slide the lever off of the pivot as shown. It may be
helpful to use a penetrating lubricant and a rubber
mallot to ease it off of the pivot. (fig. 7-4)
6.
Disconnect the battery cables from the battery.
7.
Once the battery has been disconnected, remove
the various leads attached to the starter solenoid.
Take note and label if necessary the leads and
where they attach to the solenoid to aid during re-
assembly. (fig. 7-5)
8.
Remove the bolts securing the starter to the
engine as shown, then remove the starter from the
machine. (fig. 7-6, 7-7)
