  If the Unit is not Functioning Normally 

 

Symptom 

Places to check 

The video image does not display normally 

Is the   

  Color Space    (YPbPr/GBR) setting correct?

The front panel switches do not function 

Check the ON/OFF setting for KEY_LOCK. 
If KEY_LOCK is ON, “KEY LOCK!!!” will appear on the 
screen when a switch is operated. 
(Refer to Chapter 3: 3.3.6 MENU switch) 

The remote controller does not function. 

Is Pin 5 (ENABLE_RMT) on the remote connector set to 
open? Check the operation method of the remote 
controller. Has Level, Edge, or Bi-Edge been correctly 
selected for the operation method? 
(Refer to Chapter 3: 3.4.14 REMOTE ASSIGN) 

Setting values for markers, etc. change 
completely when the remote controller is 
connected. 

Is Pin 5 (ENABLE_RMT) on the remote connector set to 
make? Check the operation method of the remote 
controller. Has Level, Edge, or Bi-Edge been correctly 
selected for the operation method? 
(Refer to Chapter 3: 3.4.14 REMOTE ASSIGN) 

The waveform and vector scope wave form 
are distorted when using composite signal 
input. 

Check the input signal. 
Due to limitations of internal circuitry, the three lines at 
the start and end of the video signal appear distorted 
compared to the actual waveform when the input signal 
is a composite signal. 

The video image is not displayed correctly in 
Compare Mode. 

The video image for Another_CH is not displayed 
normally when the format of the input channel 
(Owner_CH) differs from the channel to be compared to 
(Another_CH). 

In Compare Mode, the video image and 
waveform of the channel to be compared to 
appear delayed. 

The channel to be compared to (Another_CH) is 
displayed delayed by one frame. 
To avoid the delay, set compare 3D ON or set input 
channel to DUAL LINK.. 

The user data cannot be saved. 

Check whether the setting for Flash Protect among the 

HARDWARE SETTING items on the menu screen is 

ON or OFF. 
If Flash Protect is ON, it is not possible to overwrite user 
data, etc. which has bee 
n saved. To set Flash Protect to OFF, the dedicated 
password (default: "0000") is required. (Refer to "3.4.16 
HARDWARE SETTING" in chapter 3 and "5.17 
Concerning the Flash Protect function" in chapter 5.)
